Hello San Francisco My Way readers, the Underground Concierge here and I have been lax in writing my blogs so here's a new one. This is the time of Street Fairs, parades and parties all over San Francisco. Well I attended one fair today, the “Positively 6th Street Fair” held on Minna Street between Mary and 6th Streets.
It was a fantastic time and all were very pleased. The 6th Street Corridor has a bad reputation throughout San Francisco. Yet many families and citizens live, work and play in this area. The fair was to show all that you can have something good on 6th Street. And something good was had today with face painting, bands, free haircuts and plenty of information regarding services for people here in San Francisco. The police were also “in the house” with Captain Denis O'Leary BBQing hot dogs for all who waited.
The music played long and loud and everyone had a wonderful time. I know that many people would not go to the 6th Street fair and thats fine, it was more for the neighbors who live in the area to meet and greet each other. Even Supervisor Chris Daly stopped by to shake hands and give a message of hope and thanks.
Again great day and I am so very proud to have gone and enjoyed the day.
