San Francisco Forty Niner's vs. Cincinnati Rams
I got two free tickets to the 49er's/Rams game held and Candlestick, I mean Monster Park, here in San Francisco. I was really excited to be at the game. I took a friend and we went to Market and 4th Street to board the 9X bus out to the park. $7 for a round trip bus ride out, yet it saved the headache of driving (the free tickets came with free parking close to the stadium).
We arrive and my friend checks his backpack and after a quick pat-down we find our seats. 30-yard line, 10 rows from the field, and a perfect view of everything. The Niner's and the Rams come out on the field to warm up and I snap a lot of photos. It was great. The opening show is a tribute to our Armed Forces, and the National Anthem is sung.
There is a fly-by by jets and the game begins. The Rams score to field goals in the first quarter, yet the Niner's strike back with some spectacular touchdowns. After spending $40 on snacks and enjoying the game I realize that many people don't have this opportunity to enjoy these types of events. Sharing the love of the game of cheering on your home team and being in the sunshine. This was something I would not let escape my notice.
The half-time show was fun, parachuter's came down unto the field (Navy Seals) to a thunderous applause. There were some absolutely “slammin” plays made by the Niner's. It was all the Rams could do to try and keep the game close. And in the 4th quarter the Rams came very close. Coach Nolan did a fantastic job and the Forty Niner's won the game 28 to 25.
I would hope that many readers, who live here in San Francisco, or may visit soon, to take the opportunity to visit the teams here and enjoy a day in the sun.
